"Principiis obsta; Finem respice." Olaf Rotkohl thinks that the pursuit of power over others is in itself a corruption, and those who seek such power are fundamentally corrupt. This space is dedicated as part of the constant challenge to those who seek to wield authority over the rest of us, keeping them on notice that they exert power only as it is granted to them by the people.

I See that Ann Coulter is in Town
I wouldn't have guessed that she drove a banana-yellow VW Vanagon, though. I think she needs it to carry her cigarettes and Price Club bottles of emetic.

Coulter's in town again?? Dang it, I'm going to have to sleep with the .45 under my pillow again. I assumed that since she stopped phone me drunk at 3am every night that she'd given up.
She was just here in Pittsburgh. I missed it. Intentionally. Is that a bad thing? Fuck it. All this hate and cynicism is driving me to the brink of...hell, I don't know...finding an oasis in the deserts of Arizona and getting high until the water makes perfect sense?
I'm with you DDG. I don't know whether to be naive and hopeful or just turn my back on the whole disaster and concentrate on nothing but money for a while so I can get the fuck out of Dodge. After this ridiculous "bitter" debate perpetuated by the Clinton/McCain axis and their bootlickers in the press, I have no faith that real issues will ever be debated in the manner of adult discussions. As usual, the whole thing is dumbed down to people who are too stupid to realize that they ought to be goddamned bitter at how they've been fucked and how they continue to be exploited for the suckers they actually are. Shit, they DO cling to guns and God and vote against their own economic self interest because of bigotry and ignorance. And they think Jesus and Smith and Wesson will protect what little they have left, because big daddy Republicrat fat cats keep playing them for the suckers (as I said before) they apparently are.
Hell, you're in western Pennsylvania. Are the economic conditions something to be dancing around the Maypole for?
